Department's Senior Design Project Exhibition

Our department's Senior Design Projects Exhibition was held on May 24th, 2024 in the main department building's Electronics Laboratory.
At the exhibition that has been organized by the department annually for 25 years, projects were presented both in poster and practical demonstration forms.
At the event, our undergraduate students cast their votes for the projects they liked most for the "Mert Ulucay Project Award". The Award, named in memoriam of Mr. Mert Ulucay, our department's freshman student passed away in 2012, was given for the twelveth time this year. Following the exhibition a small ceremony was held and the award was presented to the winning students. Furthermore, "Best Project Presentation" and "Best Implementation Solution" awards were elected with the votes of our faculty members.

The project "ASIC Design for Self-Learning Smart Electronic Nose" implemented by Mr. Ethem Buğra Arslan, Mr. Şükrü Buğra Duman, Mr. Muhammed Şamil Kartrancı, Mr. Cengizhan Çağlayan and supervised by Dr. Dinçer Gökcen became the most liked project.
The first runner-up project was "Outdoor State Estimation via Sensor Fusion Using a Four-legged Robot Platform". The project was implemented by Ms. Yaren Gülay Çağlar, Mr. Mehmetcan Gökçe, Ms. Eylül Haydaroğlu, Ms. Melike Boyacıoğlu and supervised by Dr. İsmail Uyanık.
And the second runner-up project was "Driving Assistance System". It was realized by Mr. Mustafa Azırak, Mr. Tunahan Candemir, Mr. Ali İrşad Yılmaz, Mr. Selim Efe Cive, and supervised by Dr. Gürhan Bulu.
On the other hand, with the votes of our faculty members, Best Presentation Award went to the project "Brain segmentation from medical images for guided-surgery" implemented by Mr. Çağın Durmuş, Mr. Mehmet Yücel Karataş, and supervised by Dr. S. Esen Yüksel, while Best Implementation Solution Award was given to Mr. Ozan Demir, Mr. Emre Öztürk and Mr. Engincan Sayar with their project "Brain segmentation from medical images for guided-surgery" supervised by Dr. Şölen Kumbay Yıldız.
We express our congratulations to all our students participating to the event for their successful projects.
